Openreach Project Gigabit

In 2025, Spectrum Comms secured another exciting contract with M Group as part of Openreach Project Gigabit. We are involved in four different projects, expanding our expertise across the network, and we’re thrilled to begin this new chapter with M group. As this work stream is still in its early stages, there isn’t much to report just yet—but we look forward to sharing updates, milestones, and key achievements from our journey with Openreach.

Project Overview

Spectrum Comms is proud to be a part of Project Gigabit, a major UK initiative led by Openreach and supported by other third party’s. The project aims to deliver ultrafast, reliable broadband to homes and businesses across the UK.

Through this partnership, Spectrum Comms is contributing to the nationwide effort to future-proof the UK’s digital infrastructure, helping communities gather access to next-gen connectivity.

As a part of this work, our teams are highly engaged within this active project, covering various aspects of the builds, installation and fibre deployment. Each project presents a new opportunity to develop our label and engineers further and strengthen our collaboration with Openreach.

Opportunities for our Team

For our engineers, this new partnership brings exciting opportunities for training and development. Our teams will receive specialised training to align with M Group’s preferred working methods, ensuring we deliver to the highest standards. We’re also focusing on upskilling our current workforce to exceed expectations and may even look to recruit new engineers to support the increased workload and keep projects running efficiently.
